Lets Stay Awhile

As I’m laying here mindlessly bored All responsibility successfully ignored Patiently waiting for sleep to come That’s when we’ll head out and have us some fun You see there’s no-one around who believes So it’s no wonder that no one can see I don’t know how, but to me you’re so real Might be impossible, I don’t care, I can deal I smooth my hair back pretending to care You call my bluff as I try not to stare Yeah, you’re as beautiful as stars in the sky No matter how I try, in my dreams you’re alive. Come aliiiive You are the one. (pause) I can’t help but smile.  Come aliiiive Hand in hand, I think I’ll stay for awhile. People tell me I shouldn’t even try My mirror reconfims every reason why But it’s okay, yeah, I pass it all by Because inside, I am king of my life A million reasons to be sad and to cry A million things I’ve done to mess up my life Regardless, I believe the sun it will rise And day by day, (pause) it’s still my choice to strive Come aliiiive You are the one.
